About this Training Guide

This Training Guide is suitable for all users of SharkCAD and SharkCAD Pro up to and including v12.

This Training Guide aims to provide the SharkCAD user with a comprehensive learning tool which spans 2D drawing and 3D design.

This Guide is presented in a Tutorial format, allowing the user to follow the step-by-step instructions from concept to completion. This Guide is structured in a Tutorial Session and Task format and each session contains both a 2D Sketch and a 3D Model of the same design.

All the Tutorial content in this Guide contains designs which instruct how to create the 2D geometry to produce 3D solid models in a fluid start-to finish tutorial.

Each Session contains an Introduction Sheet which illustrates in detail the sketch or model which will be produced during the Session, complete with important information, estimated session duration and a fully completed drawing sample of the session. The drawing sample can be viewed or printed as a pdf or opened using your SharkCAD application software.

Each Task contains a Worksheet providing guidelines on how the task should be approached, with a list of associated tasks performed during the Task.

Navigating your Training Guide

The Contents

Your Training Guide is presented in a browser-based window, allowing easy navigation of the Contents and Index. The navigation pane, shown below can be resized to suit your screen or device. Each Tutorial Session is organized into the 2D Sketch and 3D Model sections, shown below.

The index, shown below and found in the tabbed section at the top of the Navigational panel, will allow quick alphabetical access to any topic or keyword in the Guide.

Using the Index

Should the required topic not be found in the Index page, use the Search tab at the top right of the guide to input specific keywords.

Multimedia Content

Each Task of the Session contains Animation. This animation is in the form of a step-by-step video which provides complete animated instructions on how to perform each task. Although an internet connection is required to view the video, their size has been optimized to allow efficient streaming of the content. Each movie plays in either MP4 or QuickTime format.

Each video opens in a separate browser page which can be dragged to a second screen if required. To drag the video to a separate screen, click onto the browser tab and click-drag to your second screen. Simply close the tab in which the video is playing to return to the Guide.

The video in this Guide contains animation and captions. There is limited audio content in all of the videos owing to the detailed captioning.
