Line Bisector

PowerPack | Draw | Line Biscector

This sketch tool creates a line which bisects the angle of two defined locations, relative to a base point.

In the example below, the heavy line bisects the points specified by points 2 and 3.

Point 1 is the intended start point of the line bisector.

The length of the bisector line can be updated in the edit field.

Circle Normal to Curve

PowerPack | Draw | Circle Normal to Curve

This tool draws a circle normal (perpendicular to the Z-axis) on a curve constructed from an arc.

The diameter of the circle is adjusted after input in the edit field.

In the example below, the end points of the arc are lying in different planes. Circles are inserted onto the vertex points of the arc.

When the view is rotated, shown below right, the normal to curve aspect of the larger circle is observed.

Surface Grid

PowerPack | Draw | Surface Grid

This creates a NURBNURB : Non-uniform rational b-spline surface by referencing either 2 diagonal points in a plane or a referential surface.

In the example below, the option to create the surface grid by diagonals is used.

The #U tolerance is 10

The #V tolerance is 5

The tolerance is 10.

Creating the diagonal grid

The points of the grid are displayed by right-clicking in the editor and selecting Show | Points.

In the example below left, the points shown in red are selected using the Select tool. By exerting downward pressure the grid can be molded similar to the illustration below right.

Unroll Surface

PowerPack | Draw | Unroll Surface

This tool flattens and unrolls the developed surface of a mesh.

In the example below, facets are removed from a mesh cylinder, then the Unroll Surface tool is used to provide the developed segments of the cylinder.

Gear

PowerPack | Draw | Gear

Draws a spur gear by defining its properties prior to creation.

The thickness properties can be adjusted after creation by double clicking onto the part and changing the Distance in the edit fields or the Inspector data.
