Separate All Parts

PowerPack | Mesh Tools | Separate All Parts

When a file is imported into the editor in an STL format for example, the component meshed parts are imported as a whole.

This tool audits the composite parts and separates them into their constituent parts, maintaining the assembly of the part.

In the example below, the part is imported into the editor as an STL format, shown below left.

When selected, the entire meshed surface is selected as a whole, shown below middle.

By selecting PowerPack | Mesh Tools | Separate All parts, each composite mesh is separated into its original mesh configuration, allowing one or multiple meshed parts to be selected, shown below right.

Object imported as an STL file as single meshed object. Parts separated into constituent meshed parts.
