Click the Extension button on the Dimension window for these options:

The extension line is perpendicular to the dimension line and is drawn at the end of the dimension line.

Overshoot: The distance the extension line extends past the dimension line.

Gap: The distance between the points set for dimensioning and the beginning of the extension line.

Same As (hand icon): Click to copy the properties of an existing dimension.
