Mesh Modeling

Mesh Modeling covers the object in a polygonal cage, subdividing the surface into quad polygonal segments suitable for sub-divisional modeling. The polygonal cage can be subdivided into a tighter or looser matrix to exert infinite modeling control over the mesh surface.

In the example below, a Mesh Block of 50x50x50 is drawn with an equal distribution of polygonal mesh segments of 4.

By using the Select Deep tool to select the faces shown in object 2 and using the gripper handle to move these faces forward, the result shown in object 3 is produced. Note how associated faces, edges and vertices maintain their relationship to the moved faces.
