In this Task

  • A diagonal edge will be created between the vertical and horizontal lines at the lower left of the sketch.

Before you Start

  • Use the Zoom tools to create sufficient magnification to perform this task.

Take Note

  • The resulting diagonal line be created as a separate drawing object, connected by its endpoints to the associated lines.

Chamfer Angle

Modify | Fillet | Chamfer Angle
The Chamfer tool creates a beveled edge at a specified distance between 2 non-parallel lines.

Select the Chamfer Angle tool from the toolbar or use Modify > Fillet > Chamfer Angle.

Use the keyboard TAB key to access the Length field and input 15. TAB again to access the Angle field and input 45.

Select two diagonal points on the lines shown in the illustration below.

The result is shown below.
