In this Task

  • A radial blend will be applied to the top edges of the vertical extrusions.

Before you Start

  • Model is viewed in Isometric view.

Take Note

  • Use the Dynamic Rotate tool if necessary when selecting the Edges.

 

 

Blend Edge

Modify | Solid Feature | Blend Edge
The Blend Edge tool is used to create a transitional radial surface by defining a radius and setback value.
Material is either added to, or subtracted from the volume of the solid depending of the radius and setback values.

The upper edges of the extrusions shown below will be blended to create a radial blend of 16. The Constant Blend option will be used to do this.

Select the Blend Edge tool from the toolbar or use Modify > Solid Feature > Blend Edge. From the options menu, select Constant Blend.

TAB to the edit fields and input a Radius of 16. Make sure the Radial option is selected.

Select the edges shown below to create the blend.

Use the Dynamic Rotate or Rotate View View > Rotate Viewtool if necessary to blend the associated edges. The result is shown below.
