Columns are vertical supports that help hold up parts of a building, such as roofs, porches, decks, or balconies. They can also be decorative, adding style and character to the front or interior of a home. For example, many houses have columns at the entrance to support a porch roof and create a welcoming look.

To add one, go to the Floor tab in the main toolbar and select the Column tool. After selecting it, click anywhere in the drawing area where you want the column to stand. The column will appear instantly.

You don’t need to worry about setting the height manually. The software automatically adjusts the column’s height to reach and support the structure above it. After placing it, you can customize its style, size, or material to match your design—whether you prefer a simple square column or a more decorative traditional style.
