The Gable Roof tool is used to create a simple two-sloped roof, which is one of the most common roof styles in homes. A gable roof has two sides that slope downward from a central ridge, forming a triangle shape at each end of the building. For example, many traditional houses have this classic “A-shaped” roof design.

To add one, go to the Roof tab in the main toolbar and select the Gable Roof tool. Then click and drag in the drawing area to define the size and shape of the roof. The steepness of the roof is controlled by the Pitch setting in the Properties tab. A higher pitch creates a steeper roof, while a lower pitch creates a flatter roof. After placing the roof, you can adjust its elevation, rotation, and position if needed. You can also enclose the ends with gable walls and apply different colors and materials in the 3D view to match the style of your home.
