The Deck Wall Trace tool is used to create a deck that automatically follows the shape of your existing walls. This means you do not need to draw the deck shape manually. Instead, the software traces the wall for you and builds the deck along it. This is especially helpful when you want a deck that fits perfectly against the back or side of a house.

To use the Deck Wall Trace tool, go to the Deck tab in the main toolbar and select it. Then click and drag along the wall where you want the deck to be created. The software will automatically generate the deck following the wall’s shape. After placement, you can adjust the deck height, add or modify railings, and change other settings in the Properties panel. You can also resize the deck by dragging its edges and apply different colors and materials in the 3D view to match your design.
