The Dormer Cutout tool is used to create an opening in an existing roof so a dormer can fit properly. Think of it as cutting a hole in the roof where the dormer will be placed. This is useful when you want full control over the size and shape of the roof opening instead of letting the software create it automatically.

To use the Dormer Cutout tool, go to the Roof tab in the main toolbar and select it. Then click on the roof panel where you want to make the opening. Use the available draw method to outline the shape and size of the cutout by clicking to place points. Once finished, the selected area will be removed from the roof. If needed, you can adjust the shape by dragging the corner points to resize or reshape the opening until it fits your dormer correctly. You can review the result in the 3D view to make sure everything aligns properly.
