The Switch tool is used to add light switches to your floor plan. A switch is the wall control you press or flip to turn lights on and off. In real homes, switches are usually placed near doors so you can easily control the room lighting when entering or leaving. This tool is beginner-friendly because the software automatically handles the correct placement height, so you do not need any electrical knowledge.

To add a switch, go to the Electrical tab in the main toolbar and select the Switch tool. Move your cursor over a wall, then click and drag slightly along the wall where you want the switch to appear. For example, if you are designing a bedroom, you would typically place a switch next to the door. The switch will automatically be placed at a default elevation, which means its height from the floor. If needed, you can adjust this height using the Elevation bar to better match your design preferences.
