How to Add a Staircase

Estimated reading: 1 minute 35 views

Stairs are used to connect one floor of a building to another. For example, if your design has a ground floor and an upper floor, you will need stairs so people can move between them. In the software, you can create stairs easily using the Stair tool.

To add stairs, go to the Floor tab in the main toolbar and select the Stair tool. First, choose the type of stairs you want. You can select a straight stairway (which goes directly up in one line) or a curved stairway (which bends as it goes up). Then click in the drawing area to set the starting point of the stairs. Move your mouse to where you want the stairs to end and click again. The software will automatically generate the staircase between those two points.

This method makes stair placement simple and accurate. For example, if you want stairs going from your living room to the second floor, just click where the stairs should begin and where they should reach the next level. You can adjust and customize them later if needed. This helps you create a clear and functional layout without needing technical architectural knowledge.
