The Framing Support Column tool is used to add vertical structural columns to your building design. Support columns help distribute and carry the weight of beams, floors, and roofs down to the foundation. They are essential for supporting heavy loads, especially in open spaces, under beams, or beneath elevated decks. Adding columns improves the structural realism and stability of your design.

To use this tool, go to the Framing tab and select the support column icon. You can adjust the column’s height and width (or diameter) in the Properties panel before or after placing it. You can also choose the material type, such as Steel or Wood. Click in the drawing area to position the column where support is required, and modify it later if needed. In Framing render mode, the columns are clearly visible in 3D view for better structural visualization.
