The Phone Outlet tool is used to add a phone outlet (also called a telephone jack) to your floor plan. A phone outlet is a small wall connection point where a landline phone or communication device can be plugged in. Even if landlines are not commonly used, adding phone outlets in a design can help show communication wiring locations clearly and keep the plan complete and organized.

To use the Phone Outlet tool, go to the Electrical tab in the main toolbar and select it. Move your cursor to a wall where you want the outlet to be installed, then drag along the wall to place it. The outlet will automatically appear at a default height, similar to how outlets are placed in real homes. If you need to raise or lower it—for example, to match other wall devices—you can adjust its position using the Elevation bar after it has been placed.
