How to Add a Furnace

Estimated reading: 1 minute 26 views

The Furnace tool is used to add a heating unit to your home’s HVAC system. A furnace is the main machine that produces warm air and sends it through ducts to heat different rooms. It is usually placed in a utility room, basement, or garage. Adding it to your design helps you plan where the heating system will be located and how it connects to the rest of the house.

To use the Furnace tool, go to the HVAC tab in the main toolbar and select it. Then click in the drawing area to place the furnace on the current floor. After placing it, you can adjust its elevation using the Elevation bar, change its direction with the Rotate tool, and move it to the correct position by dragging it. Once the furnace is in place, you can connect it to air ducts so warm air can be distributed properly throughout your home.
