The Line tool in the Detail tab is used to draw straight 2D lines in your floor plan. It is mainly used for adding drafting details such as construction lines, layout guides, section indicators, or custom design elements. This tool helps improve the clarity and accuracy of your technical drawings.

To use the Line tool, select the Detail tab and click the line icon. Then click in the drawing area to start the line and click again to define its endpoint. You can choose different draw methods from the Properties panel. Holding the SHIFT key while drawing releases the angle constraint, and holding the CTRL key locks the segment angle.

Lines created with this tool are visible in the 2D view only. However, they can sometimes be converted into other components, such as an air duct or staircase. The Line tool is useful for adding precise drafting details and enhancing your construction documentation.
