The Polygon tool in the Detail tab is used to draw multi-sided 2D shapes in your floor plan. It allows you to create custom shapes with multiple straight edges, which are useful for drafting irregular layouts, design outlines, or construction details. This tool helps add flexibility when a rectangle or circle is not suitable for the design.

To use the Polygon tool, select the Detail tab and click the polygon icon. Then click in the drawing area to place each corner point of the shape. Double-click to complete the polygon. You can choose different draw methods from the Properties panel. Holding the SHIFT key while drawing releases the angle constraint, and holding the CTRL key locks the segment angle for more precise drafting.

Polygon shapes are visible in the 2D view only. However, they can sometimes be converted into other components, such as a floor area or excavated area. This tool is useful for creating detailed custom shapes and improving the accuracy of your construction documentation.
