How to Apply Erase Topography

Estimated reading: 1 minute 32 views

The Erase Topography tool in the Terrain tab is used to remove terrain changes that were previously added using the Spray tool. It allows you to clean up or correct raised and lowered areas on the ground surface. This tool is especially helpful if you want to undo certain terrain adjustments without deleting the entire topography.

To use the Erase Topography tool, select the Terrain tab and click the Erase icon. In the Properties panel, choose the brush shape (Round or Rectangle) and adjust its size. Then, in the 3D view, click and drag over the area where you want to remove the sprayed terrain effects. You can also use options like Sharp Edges or Extra Smoothing depending on how you want the surface to look after erasing. If needed, you can click “Erase all spray” to remove all sprayed topography at once.

The Erase Topography tool helps maintain accuracy and control in your landscape design. It ensures that unwanted terrain changes can be easily corrected, keeping your site plan clean, realistic, and professionally finished.
